Corporate Responsibilities

Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) is a concept whereby organisations consider the interests of society by taking responsibility for the impact of their activities on customers, employees, communities and the environment in all aspects of their operations.

This obligation is seen to extend beyond the statutory obligation to comply with legislation and sees organisations voluntarily taking further steps to improve the quality of life for employees and their families as well as for the local community and society at large.

Fusion is committed to enhancing the well-being and prosperity of the communities where our candidates live and work, and where our business operates. Our involvement is underpinned by our value to earn community trust.

Take a Swing for Charity

In the last 12 months in the City of Greater Dandenong alone, more than 10 per cent of residents experienced a shortage of food and went hungry - many of them children and many from working families!

There are many people who did not have regular access to affordable, nutritious, culturally acceptable and good quality foods. Unbeknown to you and I, many of these could be your staff!

"Take a Swing for Charity" golf day is a great initiative led by local business/industry in partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong.

The target for this initiative is to raise more than $30,000 towards cool room / freezer units and facilities
so that a greater quantity of food can be 'rescued', stored and then distributed through volunteer programs
that will help feed our community.

Fusion Workforce is a proud to be associated with such an important charity and our contribution can be seen via a sponsorship of a hole during this event.

Grand Final Day Ticket Auction - Australian Cancer Research Foundation

Thank you to everyone that bid for the football finals tickets last month. Congratulations to Ross Booth from TSB Service Bodies & Michael Daly from Tip Top Bakeries who were the lucky bidders for this year's Grand Final Tickets. We raised an impressive $3425.00 for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation and we thank everyone for their support.
The Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) is a not for profit organisation dedicated to finding a cure for cancer by funding world class research in Australia. ACRF are devoted to finding a cure for this devastating disease which affects one in three Australians.

The ACRF are now in their 25th year of operation. In the last four years alone, they have awarded over $50 million to outstanding cancer research projects. Nobody is more determined than them in the drive to defeat cancer, but we they can not do it alone. Every dollar of every donation received goes to world class cancer research. So on behalf of cancer patients present and future, Fusion Workforce and the ACRF thank you for your support.

Fusion Sponsorship: CPEC - Cerebral Palsy Education Centre

CPEC is acknowledged as a world leader in providing specialist education programs for children with cerebral palsy. The CPEC professional staff who work at the Centre in Glen Waverley are renowned internationally as the best in their field. It costs around $13,000 per child per year to receive eight hours of service per week for 40 weeks. They receive nearly $5,000 per child from the State Government. The $8,000 shortfall is offset by the families who pay fees, do fundraising and seek donations.

This year Fusion Workforce has sponsored Andrew Buckley from Wastech Engineering as he joins the hundreds of other runners in the St.George Melbourne Marathon to raise money for this cause. Andrew has a family member that has been directly effected by the cerebral palsy and we hope our small contribution has in some way contributed to the sucess of the cause. Best of luck Andrew on the 11th October with the run.

Fusion Sponsorship: 'Lunch with the (young) winners'

This September (2009) Fusion Workforce sponsored a table of students to attend the 'Lunch with the (young) Winners' an event put on by the South Eastern Business Network and the South East Melbourne Manufacturers Alliance Inc.

This is a fantastic event that allows local business men and women as well as young and up and coming students the opportunity to network with known industry leaders and to listen to some of the inspiring stories of some of the 'young' business people that have excelled in their area of expertise.

Individuals and companies in the manufacturing industry are consistently winning recognition and prestigious awards for outstanding achievement in their field and for being "smart" and this event presents three guest speakers who have recently been recoginsed for that reason.
More importantly this is a forum that gives it's guests an understanding as to what drives and engages these successful speakers and their generation as well as hear their plans for the future.
