Melanoma Awareness Foundation (MAF) The Melanoma Awareness Tribute Tournament (MATT) was first held at Moonah Links Golf Course in November 2005. The event was organised by friends and family of Matt Saleeba. Matt passed away in May 2005 from Melanoma cancer at the age of 39. He worked in the golf industry and many of his friends and family are still involved in this industry. Matt’s wife Missy is a key player in this foundation, to read her story: Click here The third Melanoma Awareness Tribute Tournament was held last year on Friday 30 November at Moonah Links with an estimated 200 people in attendance, the highlight being the attendance of Lee Freedman as the Patron of the Melanoma Awareness Foundation. All funds raised are going to be used to raise awareness of this extremely preventable disease. Through education, corporate and community participation, sponsorship and support, they can work towards finding treatment and a cure for this devastating disease. Through Fusion’s involvement in the 2007 Tribute Tournament, the MAF was able to raise $40,000 for the awareness of melanoma in Australia.
